We’ve had a few injuries/cancellations and there are 2 women and 2 men’s spots open. If you want to sign up, get in touch and we’ll fit you in the competition.
I’ve published the preliminary event heats as well as the profiles for all the athletes that submitted information.

Few notes on Event Heats:
- Heats were chosen based on my knowledge of competitors and their performance on the various WODs. Fran correlated really well with most other WODs so we mainly used Fran times as our ranking workout.
- Event heats will generally scale the lower you go, but being in a lower heat will not prevent you from making the final 4th WOD.
- The final 4th WOD will be the top 5 women and top 5 men.
- Scaling will be done on an individual basis. We will have a suggested scaling for those competitors who can’t do the WOD as RX’ed.
- If you think we’ve vastly under or overestimated you, please send an email to games@crossfitcharlottesville.com .
- If you are missing or misclassified, please let us know.
- Actual events will be announced 48 hours prior to the event. There will be no heat changes at that time.
- Please use the comments in this post to ask general questions.
Update: Scoring will be done based on your ranked finish in each individual event. Heats don’t matter for finish times. If you scale the WODs, you cannot make it to the final WOD.
Some of you have started asking questions about food. Eppie’s, one of our sponsors has agreed to be the food vendor for our event. I’ve attached the menu below. If you are attending,
please fill out this short survey as soon as possible so we can get a good estimate for food amounts.
We’ve also decided to hold the after-party in our venue. The after-party will start as soon as we’re done with our awards ceremony around 7PM. We’ve got pulled pork BBQ on the menu for dinner. If you have any questions or concerns about the menu, please ask them in the comments or on the survey.
